Please note: no personal, private, or identifiable patient information should be entered into the application.
Who is Shift Happens designed for?
The app is designed for a wide range of healthcare professionals, including ambulance staff (from ECAs to Critical Care Paramedics) and nursing staff (from HCAs to district nurses).
How can Shift Happens support my Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?
Shift Happens helps you log your day-to-day practice, producing downloadable professional summaries of patient types, incidents, interventions, and medications. While this should not be used as your sole source of CPD evidence, it can complement your portfolio. For example, monthly summaries may highlight specific skills, interventions, or medications that you may wish to review or practice further.
Why should I record my meal break information?
We understand that many NHS staff face challenges around missed or delayed breaks, which can affect rest periods or compensation claims. The app collates your meal break records and generates a CSV file, making it easy to provide accurate information for timesheets or claims.
